Rates of pay vary from Teacher to Teacher depending on a combination of factors which include:
An individual consultation is needed before we can finalise any rates of pay. ANZUK management will always give you an accurate indication of the ammount you can expect to earn when you arrive and begin working. Please remember that agency pay rates for day-to-day and long-term supply positions are inclusive of sick pay and holiday pay. Please contact our office should you require an individual pay rate assessment. Tax (PAYE)When you begin working in the UK you will be taxed the same as most resident workers. Your tax will be calculated on the gross income that you earn. Inland Revenue (The Taxation Department) will calculate a tax free threshold that is spread over 52 weeks. You are then taxed on the amount that you earn in income brackets above that. Most teachers in the UK pay a 22% tax rate over and above the tax free threshold. If you don’t have an NI number you are charged an emergency tax rate of 22% for your entire wage. If any adjustment is made it will be paid automatically in your next pay cheque. Please contact our UK office if you have any queries regarding Income Tax.
