Social Events

ANZUK offers social events throughout the year! This is a great way to meet the staff and other teachers working with ANZUK. Events are posted on our Facebook page and teachers will be emailed with dates and times.

Travelling Alone?

If you are like many of our international teachers and are a bit nervous about embarking on such a great adventure solo, we can help out! With such great success in 2010, we will be re-creating a site for teachers to meet prior to their departure. This includes teachers travelling in groups as well, since a few familiar faces always makes the transition easier!

Teachers who have registered with ANZUK and are starting to plan their year abroad will be invited to join our Facebook Event for International Teachers arriving in 2011. We encourage you to add your name, departure date, and what you are looking for (roommates, travel friends, drinking buddys, etc). From there, feel free to contact eachother and start connecting!
Meeting people prior to your departure allows you to:

• Get to know eachother's interests and figure out if you would live well together.
• See a familiar face when you arrive.
• Start planning trips early.
• Book flights on the same dates.
• Look for accomodation together and save on rent.
• Have someone to relay ideas with and maximize your time abroad.
