STEP 1: Registration
- Complete the Registration Form on the right hand side of our website or
- Email Karissa Freund or Nikki Meyenn with your resume and contact information
STEP 2: General Information
- One of our representatives will contact you by email with some general information.
STEP 3: Documents
- Send us your up to date resume and the details of 3 teaching references (contact email addresses and phone numbers of either principals or supervising teachers).
- Complete the First Contact Form that was attached with the general information email.
- Please include in your email the best days and times to contact you by phone.
STEP 4: Phone call
- We will contact you to discuss your personal travel plans, dates, eligibility, and answer any of your initial questions.
- Please have a list of questions ready ahead of time.
STEP 5: Registration
- • You will receive an email regarding the registration fee. This will include the purpose of the fee, the contents of the Teacher Start Package, and various methods of payment.
STEP 6: Information Guide Booklet
- You will be sent a Canadian Information Guide Booklet to help you with every detail of the VIT registration, Visa application, as well as extra information on flights, accommodations, travel insurance, bank accounts, mobile phones, public transportation, etc.
- At anytime after you receive the booklet, send us your Academic Transcripts/Teaching Qualification.
STEP 7: Regular Contact
- Your ANZUK representative, Karissa, will check in with you regularly to answer questions and ensure paperwork is completed on time. If any questions arise, contact her immediately by phone or email.
- It is important that you keep us updated on your travel situation. This means regular updates on the progress of your VIT registration and Visa application. If we do not hear back from you after a couple of tries, we will respect your privacy and stop contacting you.
- During this time, Karissa will be completing your reference checks so they need to be aware that someone will be contacting them.
STEP 8: Final Steps in Canada
- Your VIT application will be sent in a minimum of 3 months prior to your departure date. Your Visa should easily be done by this time as well. Working through the Information Guide Booklet, you will complete all final steps to ensure you are ready to travel.
- Once you have your flight booked, email Karissa immediately and tell her your arrival date to Melbourne.
STEP 9: Melbourne Registration is Booked
- When your flight has been purchased, Karissa will liaise with our Melbourne office to decide a date and time in which you will come in to register in Melbourne.
- You will be sent two emails: One with the details of your Melbourne registration and a second with a form for you to fill out with your Australian information and Medical Declaration. This must be completed as soon as possible before your registration date.
STEP 10: Phone call
- You will receive one final phone call from Karissa to discuss any last minute questions prior to your departure to Melbourne.
STEP 11: Arrival!
- After you have arrived in Melbourne, you will attend your registration at our Melbourne office and we will have you out teaching as soon as you are available.
- The Information Guide Booklet will describe the items that need to be attended to as soon as you arrive (bank account, mobile phone, Tax File Number, etc).
