ANZUK Teacher Expectations

ANZUK holds high expectations for our teachers, schools, and our company. As you are representing ANZUK on a day to day basis, we have a list of requirements for all our employees which has to be agreed on when registering with us.

  • All teachers should conduct themselves in a professional and conscientious manner at all times.
  • Teachers should complete all tasks asked of them from the client school cooperatively and to the best of their ability.
  • Teachers should at all times communicate appropriately with school staff members, students and parents.
  • Duty of care and proper supervision is extended by relief teachers to all students throughout the day, including yard duty.
  • Teachers should abide by ANZUK Education Services dress code at all time which is found in teacher information sheet.
  • At all times teachers should have available for client schools their current VIT registration card.
  • If criminal proceedings are bought upon a relief teacher, ANZUK must be notified before any further school placements.
  • All work offers, both contractual and casual at a client school, must be cleared through ANZUK Education Services.

It is important that these standards are upheld throughout your work with us to uphold our high standards, we believe in exceeding school expectations and executing good teaching practice.


ANZUK Casual Relief Teaching Dress Code

For Men

  • Collared shirt for men, this can include a polo shirt
  • Neat Casual Trousers
  • No ripped jeans
  • No tracksuit, unless teaching PE
  • No runners, unless teaching PE
  • No thongs, even if it is really hot
  • No beanies or hats inside 

For Women

  • No untidy T- shirts or singlets, collared shirts or dress tops are preferred
  • No ripped jeans, smart slacks, skirts or dresses are preferred
  • No tracksuits, unless teaching PE
  • No moccasins or uggboots
  • No thongs
  • No beanies or hats inside

Our dress code is common sense. Your professional image relates to how people see you.   Make sure as a casual relief teacher you are always presented in a neat and tidy manner; it's 101 in personal teaching strategies!


Smoking

You are not allowed to smoke under any circumstance in any school in Victoria.

Alcohol and Drugs

We operate a strict policy regarding Alcohol and Illicit Drugs. Under no circumstance should you ever be under the influence of Alcohol and/or Drugs before or during a school placement. If you are out drinking on a school night and feel you still have alcohol in your system in the morning, we will need you to contact us by 7.30am so we can find a replacement for the day.
